Swimming at Edmonds

Reservations Required

Advance reservation and payment is required. Burnaby residents have priority registration and can register in advance of non-residents for programs and activities which are in Webreg. No drop-ins.

What you need to know

  • Come dressed and ready to swim, and leave your valuables at home. There is limited access to changerooms, showers and washrooms
  • Lockers and cubbies are not in use. Bring all belongings with you to the pool deck
  • Public and Family Swims are limited to 30 people. Lap swimming is limited to 12 people. AquaFit is limited to 9 people.
  • No lap lanes during Public and Family Swims
  • Leisure Only Swim: allows access to the leisure pool and hot tub only during lap swimming sessions. Patrons booking a “leisure only swim” session do not have access to the lap swimming lanes.
  • Water slide will be open for short periods during Family and Public Swim
  • Please bring your own pre-filled water bottle. Waterfill stations are opened for water bottle filling only. Water fountains remain closed.
  • Sauna and steam room remain closed
  • Entry into the pool area will be from the lobby
  • No refunds for reservations once booked
  • Schedules are subject to change

AquaFit Schedule

  • 6 lane 25 m lap pool (3.5 ft – 12 ft) with stairway entrance and wheelchair accessible lift
  • 15 m warm leisure pool with two lap lanes and accessible lift
  • Lazy river with water spray features
  • Zero Depth entrance in the leisure area
  • Steam room (closed)
  • Sauna (closed)
  • Whirlpool with LED lighting with segregated areas for jets only (4ft and variable height) with zero depth entrance 
  • Playground for children in shallow end of leisure pool with interactive spray features
  • Large suspended dumping water bucket
  • Two 7.4m high 60m long and 45m long  waterslides (closed)
  • Deck Chairs with foot rests (closed)
  • Backstroke roof LED’S
  • Dedicated party room for birthdays (unavailable)
  • Water wheelchairs
  • Full Men’s, woman’s, universal/accessible changing areas with showers and lifts (limited access)

Access
Entrance to Edmonds is via the Plaza entrance (off of Humphries Street) or the underground parking lot. The entrance into the building on Edmonds Street will remain closed. The café, childminding and indoor playground area also remains closed.  

Parking
Free parking is available underground, on site, and on Humphries Street.
