Lawn watering banned across Metro Vancouver
As of May 1, 2026, water restrictions are at stage 2 across our region. This means all residential and non-residential lawn watering is prohibited. See details below for when and how trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens can be watered.
Thank you for doing your part to use our treated water where we need it most—drinking, cooking and cleaning—through what’s expected to be a hot and dry summer.

Metro Vancouver regional watering restrictions are in effect from May 1 to October 15. These restrictions help us use our treated water wisely and ensure we have enough supply for where we need it most—drinking, cooking, and cleaning.

- limited storage capacity of reservoirs
- increased demand due to continued population and industrial growth
