The Information Technology (IT) department provides support and services for technology and telecommunications that enable you to access City services and information electronically.

Who we are

IT is responsible for policy, procedures and standards to support technology, improve business processes and ensure protection of City assets.

We manage the City’s computer application hardware and infrastructure and provide support to staff through a central Helpdesk. Our staff configures, implements and enhances City-wide and departmental automated business applications.

What we do

IT provides technical, database, business analysis services and sustainment support for more than 100 computer application systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Tax and Licensing, Inspections and Permits, Fire Systems and email.

We provide communications network technology to sites, computer centre servers, PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.

We provide a single point of contact on all technical issues, queries and troubleshooting calls from staff.
