This committee works to improve relationships between the City and our Sister and Friendship cities. The committee establishes and reviews the City's policies, projects and procedures regarding foreign relationships, cultural awareness, collaborative learning opportunities and trade and economic development.
Burnaby was one of the first communities in Canada to recognize the economic and cultural opportunities of friendships cities and has supported a very active relationship with other cities including a strong international link. The Committee is made up of 3 Council members.
The committee meets on Call of the Chair.
