City seeking public input on Mountain Air Bike Skills Course redevelopment

Last updated: August 5, 2022

The City of Burnaby plans to create a first-class local destination for biking enthusiasts by redeveloping the Mountain Air Bike Skills Course, and members of the public will have the opportunity to share their input before the project begins.

The City is seeking public input on the concept designs, which aim to create an exciting experience that will accommodate multiple biking styles. Proposed improvements include:

  • a brand new BMX jump section
  • expanded drop-in zones
  • bike maintenance areas
  • spaces for social gathering

The City will host an Open House and Ride Day event on Saturday, August 13 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Mountain Air Bike Skills Course (8486 Barnet Highway).

Residents, park users and the community are invited to come for a ride, learn more about the redevelopment and share their feedback on the concept designs. No advance registration is required.

Comments and ideas for the redevelopment can also be shared in an online survey available at Burnaby.ca/YourVoice-MountainAir. The survey will be open until Friday, August 26, 2022 at midnight.
