Purchasing Division is now Procurement Services

The Purchasing Division will now be known as Procurement Services. This change better reflects the full scope of services provided by the division and aligns with many Lower Mainland municipalities.

What are the key functions of the Procurement Services Division?

Key functions include:

  • procuring goods, services and construction in an open, fair and transparent manner
  • ensuring warehousing and inventory management of key materials for City operations
  • maintaining the highest standards of business ethics in dealings with suppliers/contractors and the bidding community
  • ensuring oversight of the supply chain from acquisition to disposal while balancing adequate controls to support operational requirements
  • maximizing best value of purchases for the City and the citizens we serve
