Visitors to Barnet Marine Park can now check the availability of parking at the park’s major lots before their trip with a new tool on our Barnet Marine Park page. This tool shows the number of spaces currently available, and is updated in real time by car counters in both parking lots.
During peak periods, can be parking difficult to find, and congestion throughout the parking lots and onto Barnet Highway can create safety concerns for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicle traffic. Our new ‘know before you go’ parking tool can help you alleviate some of the uncertainty around parking before making the trip to Barnet Marine Park.
A reminder that we’ve restarted seasonal parking time limits at Barnet Marine Park this spring and summer, to make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy this much-loved destination. The parking program runs from May 1 to September 30, and is in effect on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.
Time limits encourage turnover and provide more opportunities for visitors to enjoy the park’s amenities.
- Texaco Drive parking lot – 2-hour parking limit
- 14 parking stalls
- Takeda Drive parking lot west – 4-hour parking limit
- 165 parking stalls plus 4 accessible stalls
- Takeda Drive parking lot east – 4-hour parking limit
- 123 parking stalls plus 6 accessible stalls
- Mountain Air Bike Skills Course – all day (no time limits)
- 152 stalls plus 2 accessible stalls
