We’re celebrating the resounding success of the 2025 Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival, which saw 9,000 music enthusiasts coming together for a day filled with soulful melodies and vibrant cultural experiences at Deer Lake Park and at Burnaby Village Museum.
The festival featured a stellar lineup of legendary artists and rising stars, including the iconic GRAMMY Award-winner, Ani DiFranco JUNO award winning Aysanabee, Hollywood songwriter Judith Hill, BC Country Music award winner Jackson Hollow and Burnaby’s own Antonio Larosa and more. The eclectic mix of performances captivated the audience, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy that resonated throughout the park.
“Blues + Roots is one of the many reasons why Burnaby is such a special place to be in the summer, and this year we were thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase even more talented local artists on the new community and satellite stages,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “This year’s attendance reflects the fact that Blues + Roots is one of the best free festivals in B.C. – and we’re grateful to everyone who came out this year to enjoy the show.”
The Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival continues to be a highlight of the summer. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the performers, volunteers, The Province of BC’s Destination Events Grant, Burnaby Refinery, RBC and Miss604 and most importantly, the community members who made this event possible.
