A new public art initiative is coming to Burnaby’s recreation and community centres this fall.
Art in the Open is the latest public art initiative by the Burnaby Art Gallery, bringing reproductions of art from the City of Burnaby’s Permanent Art Collection to four dynamic locations: Bonsor Recreation, Cameron Community Centre, Christine Sinclair and Willingdon Community Centre.
By embedding art in the heart of Burnaby’s neighbourhoods, the project makes art accessible to the public, who may not otherwise visit a gallery. Art in the Open is on display until the end of 2026.
