Halloween season is back in Burnaby, and we’re thrilled to bring back two fan-favourite events. Experience the magic of Haunted Village at Burnaby Village Museum and celebrate the return of Central Spark, Burnaby’s signature Halloween celebration. Along with a variety of festive activities throughout the city, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this Halloween season.
“Burnaby is the place to be for Halloween events,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “There’s a reason why so many people put Haunted Village and Central Spark on their Halloween must-do lists, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back again this year.”
From October 23 to November 1, we invite you to participate in a series of fun, family-friendly events. Families can step into a world of enchantment and mystery at Burnaby Village Museum’s Haunted Village, taking place Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25, and returning Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. You’ll be thrilled with the fireworks at Central Spark on Friday, October 30. In addition, check out the many spooktacular events hosted at our recreation centres throughout the month.

- Highlights: Step into a world of specters and spirits at Burnaby Village Museum’s Haunted Village. Wander through the 10-acre open-air site and encounter roving entertainment and performers, lighting and special effects, and many Halloween favourites. Something frightful lurks among the carousel horses, venture in if you dare. Back by popular demand, DJ Drac and his legion of dancers will get the dance floor moving.
Central Spark
- Date and time: Friday, October 30, 6-8 pm (fireworks at 7:30 pm)
- Admission: free
- Location: Central Park, at Kingsway and Patterson Avenue
- Highlights: Enjoy a lively dance party with a DJ, delicious bites from food trucks, live entertainment, a dazzling drone light display, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
