You can now track property crime in Burnaby
Last updated: January 20, 2026
Burnaby residents now have a new tool to stay informed about property crime in their community. The Property Crime Dashboard is an interactive online resource that shows trends in property-related crimes, including break and enters and theft from vehicles.
Using an easy-to-navigate map, the dashboard displays where property crimes occur, what type they are, and how often they happen. The goal is to empower residents and businesses with information so they can take proactive steps and make preventable choices.
What you’ll find on the Dashboard:
Reported property crimes and the date of each incident, including:
- Theft of auto
- Theft from auto
- Break and enter–business
- Break and enter–residence
- Break and enter–other
To protect privacy, the dashboard does not include personal details and crime locations are approximate. The dashboard is updated monthly to provide the most recent information available.
Why it matters:
By understanding crime patterns in your neighbourhood, you can make informed decisions and take preventative measures to keep your property safe.
