The playground at Jim Lorimer Park has been upgraded and rebuilt at a higher elevation to protect the play structures from rising water at nearby Still Creek. The new playground features a big play tower, a variety of swings and spinners, a dedicated toddler play area, inclusive play features and colourful rubber surfacing. Additional park improvements include a shade structure, more seating, accessible paved paths, a drinking fountain and misting post and new shade trees. Park construction took place over fall/winter 2025, with the playground opening on July 22, 2026
