Mintara atop Burnaby Mountain Restaurant Expansion

About this project

Renovations at the Mintara restaurant are underway. With an expansion that includes a new patio this destination dining experience will draw even more guests to the spectacular Burnaby Mountain setting.  

The renovation features an enclosed all-weather patio, with glass windows, radiant floor heating and air conditioning, as well as full bar and barbecue section.  

During the renovation, the restaurant will run in a limited capacity. Events and wedding bookings are temporarily paused. 

Access to the Burnaby Mountain Conservation area will not be affected by construction. The parking lot will be fully available.

We expect the project to finish in late summer 2026, and can’t wait to welcome you! 

Project updates

Fall 2025

Construction is underway. We are working closely with our contractor to plan construction in a way that minimizes impacts to the community

Work takes place from 7 am to 8 pm on Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 8 pm on Saturday. No work occurs on Sundays and statutory holidays. 

Equipment storage is using a small area of the parking lot (six stalls).
