Parks, Recreation and Culture Gift Cards

Parks, Recreation and Culture gift cards are thoughtful presents for a birthday party, anniversary or holiday gift-giving.

  • Gift cards can only be purchased or reloaded in-person at most recreation or culture facilities (not available to purchase at Burnaby golf facilities or outdoor pools). Gift cards are currently only sold in-person and not online.
  • Redeem gift cards online on WebReg, over the phone or use in person at recreation or culture facilities.
  • Please note that cards are not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable. Lost, stolen or damaged cards cannot be replaced. The use of our Parks, Recreation and Culture gift card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions

Use gift cards for activities and memberships offered by Parks, Recreation and Culture, in WebReg:

  • registered activities
  • membership passes
  • drop-in activities

Some activities are excluded including ticket sales at Shadbolt Theatre and Swangard Stadium events, or golf bookings for tee times or the driving ranges. Golf lessons booked through WebReg are eligible.

Please hold onto your receipt as proof of purchase for your gift card, just in case you run into any issues using it.

Questions and answers

Gift cards do not expire.

Yes, split payments are allowed. You can combine multiple gift cards or other payment types in a single transaction.

When you’re at the Check Out screen on WebReg, just look for the field labeled ‘Gift Card’. Enter your gift card number there and click ‘Apply’. Your gift card amount will be deducted from your total balance.

No, gift cards can be purchased with custom values between $20 and $300.

Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted. Unfortunately, cheques and recreation credit are not valid payment methods.

Yes, you can reload your gift card by visiting or calling any recreation or culture facility.

You can check your balance by calling or visiting any recreation or culture facility.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Gift cards should be treated like cash because they carry real value. Keep the card in a safe place, just as you would with cash.

The gift card must be presented for all in-person transactions. 

Gift cards are non-refundable and are treated like cash. 

Refunds from activities purchased with a gift card go back onto the gift card. 

You can give the physical card to someone else, but you cannot transfer the balance electronically onto a different card.

Keep your receipt from when you bought the gift card. If you have any trouble, simply bring your card and receipt to any recreation or culture facility, and we’ll be happy to help!

Terms and conditions

The balance of this gift card may be used as valid payment for certain activities and services offered by Burnaby Parks, Recreation, or Culture, that are not excluded. Excluded programs and services include, but are not limited to, golf or food services and select culture events. Excluded activities and services are subject to change. This gift card is non-refundable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and does not expire. It is reloadable, and purchases will deduct from the available balance. Treat this card like cash; it will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without permission. For balance inquiries, visit any Burnaby recreation or culture facility.
