Join us for a spooky celebration at Central Park! Everyone is invited to free family-friendly Halloween festivities. The fun kicks off at 6 pm.
Enjoy a lively dance party with a DJ, delicious bites from food trucks, spooky entertainment, photo ops, a dazzling drone light display*, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Costumes are highly encouraged!

Yes! There will be food trucks located on Patterson Ave between Central Blvd and Kingsway. More details coming soon.
Central Spark is a non-smoking event, and there is no smoking allowed in Burnaby parks. There will be no designated smoking areas within the event area. Learn more about smoke-free Burnaby.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm and will last about 15 minutes.
The drone show is scheduled at 7:15 pm and will last about 7 minutes. It may be cancelled if the weather is poor.
The event is very kid friendly. It will be slightly spooky and will not involve depictions of gore or violence. Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be plenty of activities and treats geared specifically for young children.
Yes. Portable toilets will be available throughout the event site.
Due to the busy nature of the event site, visitors are encouraged to leave their pets at home, but service animals with proper identification are permitted. Fireworks can be very frightening for pets.
Yes, there will be a water refill station at Central Park.
The event is designed to happen rain or shine.

Getting here
To ensure the safety of residents and event participants, traffic will not be permitted on Patterson Ave (from Kingsway to Central Blvd) between 3 to 11 pm on Friday, October 24, 2025. Please plan ahead to avoid closures, crowds and parking restrictions in the area.
There will be no public parking on the following streets (restricted to “No Parking” or “Special Event Parking with permit only”) between 12:01 am on October 24 to noon on October 25.
- Patterson Ave from Kingsway to Mayberry Ave
- Beresford St between Patterson and Willingdon
- Olive Ave between Central Blvd and Kingsway
- Central Blvd from Patterson to Wilson Ave
If you live within the parking restriction area, please make sure to move your vehicle off theses streets by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Vehicles that are not moved by this deadline will be towed. If your vehicle has been towed, please call 604-526-9677.
Please modify your parking and travel plans to avoid the road closures and parking restrictions on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Accessibility drop off location will be along Olive Ave from Kingsway to Central Blvd.
If you take transit, please be advised that bus services will also be impacted in the area.
- Patterson SkyTrain Station will remain open with regular service.
- Bus service 129 on Patterson Ave will be re-routed and the stops at Patterson Ave and Kingsway (northbound and southbound) will be closed on Friday, October 24 from 3 pm to 12:01 am on October 25.
