Join us for a spooky celebration at Central Park! Everyone is invited to the free family-friendly Halloween festivities at Burnaby’s signature event, Central Spark.
Enjoy a lively dance party with a DJ, delicious bites from food trucks, spooky entertainment, photo ops, and a spectacular fireworks show.
The fun kicks off at 6 pm along Patterson Avenue (from Kingsway to Central Boulevard) and at Central Park, with the fireworks lighting up the sky at 7:30 pm, and the event wrapping up around 8 pm. Costumes are highly encouraged!

Accessibility drop off location will be along Olive Ave from Barker Ave to Central Blvd.
If you take transit, please be advised that bus services will also be impacted in the area.
- Patterson SkyTrain Station will remain open with regular service.
- Bus service 129 on Patterson Ave will be re-routed and the stops at Patterson Ave & Kingsway (Northbound and Southbound) and Eastbound Kingsway & Inman Ave will be closed on October 25 from 3 pm to 12:01 am on October 26.

Central Spark is a non-smoking event, and there is no smoking allowed in Burnaby parks. There will be no designated smoking areas within the event area. Learn more about smoke-free Burnaby.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm and will last about 15 minutes.
The event is very kid friendly and it will be slightly spooky and will not involve depictions of gore or violence. Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be plenty of activities and treats geared specifically for young children.
Yes. Portable toilets will be available throughout the event site.
Due to the busy nature of the event site, visitors are encouraged to leave their pets at home, but service animals with proper identification are permitted. Fireworks can be very frightening for pets.
