Join us for a spooky celebration at Central Park! Everyone is invited to the family-friendly Halloween festivities at Burnaby’s signature event, Central Spark.
Enjoy a lively dance party with a DJ, delicious bites from food trucks, spooky entertainment, photo ops, a dazzling drone light display, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
The fun kicks off at 6 pm along Patterson Avenue (from Kingsway to Central Boulevard) and at Central Park, with the fireworks lighting up the sky at 7:30 pm, and the event wrapping up around 8 pm. Costumes are highly encouraged!

Yes! As part of Central Spark there will be a number of food trucks located on Patterson Ave between Central Blvd and Kingsway.
Central Spark is a non-smoking event, and there is no smoking allowed in Burnaby parks. There will be no designated smoking areas within the event area. Learn more about smoke-free Burnaby.
The fireworks finale is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm and will last about 15 minutes.
The event is very kid friendly and it will be slightly spooky and will not involve depictions of gore or violence. Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be plenty of activities and treats geared specifically for young children.
Yes. Portable toilets will be available throughout the event site.
Due to the busy nature of the event site, visitors are encouraged to leave their pets at home, but service animals with proper identification are permitted. Fireworks can be very frightening for pets.
Yes, there will be a water refill station at Central Park.
The event is designed to happen rain or shine. Tents will be provided throughout the site for shelter, including a warming tent with heaters.
