
Summer Cinema

It's movie magic time! Summer Cinema kicks off at Civic Square on Friday nights and continues at Confederation Park on Saturday evenings this August. Bring a blanket or chair, some movie snacks and enjoy the show. Free admission and parking!
Movies start at dusk (times shown below are approximate). Events takes place rain or shine.
At Civic Square | movies start at approximately 8:30 pm
- Friday, August 15 – A Minecraft Movie
- Friday, August 22 – The Tiger’s Apprentice

Free underground parking is available at the Bob Prittie Metrotown library, and there are also portable washrooms on-site.
At Confederation Park | movies start at approximately 8:15 pm (by the running track)
- Saturday, August 16 – Dog Man
- Saturday, August 23 – Moana 2
Arrive early for a double feature of fun!
There’s lots going on before the show. Step into our programming tent to enjoy fun interactive Coast Salish games led by our Indigenous educator between 6:30-8:30 pm each night!
Plus meet costumed characters. They’ll be making an appearance each evening between 6-8:30 pm!
Who will you spot in the audience? Come dressed in costume and get ready to have a blast!
