Council meets regularly to debate and decide on issues that concern you. These meetings also offer residents a chance to hear all the arguments and understand the reason behind council's decisions.
Meetings are held at Burnaby City Hall twice a month on Monday evenings at 5 pm. Please check the calendar to confirm date and location details.

March 11 meeting highlights
Deer Lake Trail Loop - Connected Pathways
City Council approved a project to build a new pedestrian bridge at Deer Lake Park. The new pedestrian bridge will be constructed at the northeast side of Deer Lake, connecting the boardwalk over the Deer Lake Brook so that walkers do not have to take a detour to Deer Lake Avenue.
Mintara atop Burnaby Mountain - Outdoor Seating Expansion
City Council approved the final design for a new outdoor seating expansion at Mintara restaurant on Burnaby Mountain. The new patio will be 2,000 sq. ft., fully enclosed with seats for up to 50 people. It will also feature a complete bar and barbecue section.
