Council Meetings
Please note: For the health and safety of the public, staff and Council, the public is encouraged to watch the all Open Council and Special Council meetings via the live webcast. Archived videos of the meetings are available the following day. Members of the public who wish to attend Council meetings in person may do so, but the City will be enforcing physical distancing and group gathering limitations.
Open Council meetings are held Monday evenings two times a month at 5:00 PM in Council Chambers at Burnaby City Hall, with the exception of two public meetings that are held in the community. Council meetings are not held in weeks during which a statutory holiday occurs. View the schedule.
Open Council meetings are broadcast live and are later archived. (Please note: Our video archive location has changed as of April 2019. We are currently restoring links to videos of Council Meetings from the past two years as quickly as possible.)

Minutes
The City Clerk is statutorily responsible for the recording and preservation of Council minutes and proceedings. Minutes are available to the public following their adoption at the next Council meeting.
Please note that Council minutes are records of actions taken and not a verbatim transcript of the meeting. The Community Charter requires that all actions of

Reports
Reports reviewed and considered by Council are either in the form of a Committee Report or a Manager's Report. Committee Reports are produced by a Committee and forwarded on to Council for approval. Council has the authority to approve any recommendations held within the report. Manager's Reports are produced by City Directors and are forwarded on to Council for approval through the Office of the City Manager. Council has the authority to approve any recommendations held within the report.
