Supporting and celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
Burnaby is an inclusive and diverse city that welcomes everyone. We support community initiatives, programs and services that help and celebrate the two-spirited, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersexual, asexual/aromantic/agender, plus (2SLGBTQIA+) community.
We're founding members of the Burnaby Pride, which organizes Burnaby's annual Pride events and supports 2SLGBTQIA+ events and programming year-round.
To learn more or to be involved, visit www.burnabypride.com or email [email protected].
The Burnaby Public Library has developed “Read with Pride” that features a list of books from 2SLGBTQIA+ voices, stories or both.
The Burnaby School District supports young 2SLGBTQIA+ community members through its safe learning and sexual orientation/gender identity policies.
