Community and social service grants for non-profit organizations
We offer funding in the form of grants for non-profit social service groups and neighbourhood organizations to help build strong communities in Burnaby.
Community Grants
The City's community grant program supports cultural, athletic and volunteer assistance groups that provide a service or promote activities that benefit Burnaby residents. The program also considers grants to established non-profit organizations to offset operating costs and programming.
Festivals Burnaby
The Festivals Burnaby grant program supports neighbourhood events and small- and large-scale festivals and special events that are developed in the spirit of celebration, innovation and entertainment. Eligible activities could include neighbourhood initiatives and events within specific areas of Burnaby and/or citywide or regional events.
Sport Hosting Grant
The Sport Hosting Grant is for amateur championship events (regional level through to international) that contribute to building community pride, encouraging community economic development, interaction and spirit. We are excited to be able to support events that give Burnaby residents an opportunity to participate in competitions in their own community.
Affordable Housing Grants Program
The City provides grants to non-market housing projects to support the construction of new non-market housing projects, and the purchase of rental buildings by non-profit housing societies.
