Out-of-this-world Halloween event returns to Burnaby Village this October

Last updated: September 20, 2022

This October, Burnaby Village Museum will once again transform into a magical world bathed in breathtaking colour with the return of Eerie Illusions. This popular event will captivate visitors with new displays, costumed staff, live performances and surprises hidden in the shadows.

Utilizing state-of-the-art lighting, projections, soundscapes and special effects, Eerie Illusions will thrill and amaze visitors of all ages, and showcase Burnaby Village Museum’s unique setting.

New in 2022, visitors can experience the historic Interurban Tram Barn and General Store as never before. Burnaby’s popular eco-sculptures will also be on site with a Halloween twist. Costumed characters, jugglers and other roving performers will be scattered throughout the village, along with popular food trucks where visitors can indulge in a snack or beverage.

“This a great time to start a new Halloween tradition and make memories with family and friends at Burnaby Village,” said Mayor Hurley. “Enjoy the spectacle and thrills as we come together as a community to experience this unique Halloween celebration.”

Running from October 20 to 30 (closed October 24) this family friendly Halloween experience is suitable for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume and explore Burnaby Village Museum’s 10-acre venue.

This popular event sold out in 2021 and advanced tickets are now available online or by phoning the Shadbolt Centre Box Office at 604-205-3000.
