The City of Burnaby needs your help to identify barriers to accessibility

Last updated: May 29, 2025

The City of Burnaby is committed to making our community more inclusive – and we need your help. As part of our Accessibility Plan, we’re identifying barriers that prevent people from fully participating in city life. From sidewalks to community centres, we’re taking a close look at how we can improve accessibility across Burnaby.

We want to hear from you. Have you encountered a cracked, uneven sidewalk that’s difficult to navigate? Are our printed materials too small to read? Is there a City facility without an accessible entrance? Let us know by filling in our Accessibility Feedback Form.

We’ve already taken important steps. By engaging with people with lived and living experiences of disabilities and disability-focused organizations, we have developed an Accessibility Plan with over 30 actions to make Burnaby more accessible. This plan outlines our approach to identifying, removing, and preventing barriers within our community.

Together, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, can fully participate in and enjoy all that our city has to offer.
