Join us for an unforgettable summer experience, with free summer concerts by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Vancouver Opera at Deer Lake Park on July 12 and 13.
“There is nothing like seeing a performance by some of the most talented classical musicians in Canada in one of the most beautiful and picturesque concert venues in Canada,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “It’s an incredible experience that everyone should have the chance to enjoy – and that’s why we’re proud that this concert is once again free for all attendees.”
In its 36th year, Symphony in the Park (July 12 at 7:30 pm) will transport listeners to a world of wonders: a trip across the galaxy (John Williams’ Star Wars: Across the Stars – Love Theme), an adventure through Jurassic terrain (Jurassic Park: Highlights by John Williams) to a thrilling ride with the Lone Ranger (Gioachino Rossini's William Tell Overture).
Opera in Park is also returning (July 13 at 7:30 pm) for their fourth performance in Deer Lake Park. Powerhouse singers and the Vancouver Opera Orchestra will perform instantly recognizable classics featuring music from Vancouver Opera’s 2025–2026 season including Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte and Puccini’s classic tale of love and loss, La Bohème.
