Free e-scooter safety event helps Burnaby riders build skills and confidence

Last updated: March 17, 2026

We’re inviting you to Ride Smart: E-Scooter Safety, a free, hands on learning event to help people ride e-scooters safely and confidently on local streets.

You’ll get to practice real world riding skills in a supportive environment. You can take part in a guided skills course, receive practical safety tips, access riding and road use resources and get a basic maintenance check for your e-scooter or e-bike. There will also be fun giveaways!

Ride Smart is hosted by the City of Burnaby, Burnaby RCMP and ICBC, and supports safer streets and encourages responsible riding throughout our community.

Join us:

Saturday, March 28, 11 am-2 pm
Edmonds Community Centre Outdoor Plaza (7433 Edmonds Street)

Riders must be 16 years or older and bring their own e-scooter and helmet to participate.
