Join us for an unforgettable summer experience, with free summer concerts by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Vancouver Opera at Deer Lake Park on July 18 and 19.
“Classical weekend is a cherished Burnaby tradition that brings world class performances into a stunning natural setting that everyone can enjoy,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. "By offering free festivals at places like Deer Lake Park, we’re making arts and culture accessible to all while showcasing one of the most beautiful public spaces in our city.”
In its 37th year, Symphony in the Park (July 18 at 7:30 pm) will transport listeners to a world of wonders: from Beethoven’s iconic triumph (Symphony No. 5) to cinematic favourites from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Hook and E.T.
Opera in Park is also returning (July 19 at 7:30 pm) for their fifth performance in Deer Lake Park. Powerhouse singers and the Vancouver Opera Orchestra will perform instantly recognizable classics featuring music from Vancouver Opera’s 2026–2027 season.
Come early for the family-friendly pre-show and the amazing line up of food trucks. Bring a blanket or chair and settle in for a wonderful weekend of classical entertainment.
