Date: Sunday, August 30, 2026
Time: Noon to 5 pm

Enjoy this free street festival featuring:

  • Live entertainment including a family stage
  • Fun activities and games for the whole family
  • Delicious local food and drinks
  • Community booths
  • And much more!

“Car Free Day is a great opportunity to experience our communities in a different way and consider the many ways we can get around without a car,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “We’re focused on making it easier for people to choose sustainable transportation — whether that’s taking transit, walking, cycling, or rolling — and are proud to support Burnaby’s Car Free Day once again.”

"We're thrilled to once again be hosting Car Free Day in Edmonds, one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in Burnaby," said Mayor Mike Hurley. "Last year's event was a celebration of community and sustainability, and we're so excited to be building on that again this year."

Be Together! Spend the last days of summer enjoying community, friends and fun activities for free at Car Free Day. Don't miss out on this wonderful celebration.

If you are interested in participating as a community booth, please email [email protected] for more information.
