Services for Burnaby Seniors

Would you like to help a Burnaby senior?

Citizen Support Services is looking for savvy shoppers to shop for housebound seniors’ weekly groceries. Make a difference by helping seniors remain independent. There’re also opportunities as a shopping buddy, providing a daily phone call or delivering their groceries.

Help with shopping

Arrange for a volunteer to help you with your shopping. We can book you a HandyDART to and from Brentwood, Lougheed Town Centre or Metrotown Mall and they’ll meet you there.

Our volunteers can call you for your weekly grocery shopping. You can pay for it over the phone by credit card and a City of Burnaby worker will deliver it to your door.

Stay socially connected

Enjoy a social lunch at one of our Burnaby seniors' centres. Volunteer drivers provide free transportation to and from!

Join us for a bus trip once a month. These trips involve a scenic drive and a lovely lunch out.

Seniors who use a wheelchair and live independently in Burnaby come together for an outing or lunch.
