The Burnaby Art Gallery is closed for the installation of our next exhibitions Arts Alive: (de)Construction and Artist Apprenticeship: Realizations, April 20-29. Please join us at the opening reception April 30, 7-9 pm or when we reopen with regular hours on Friday, May 1.

Welcome to Burnaby Art Gallery

As the only public art museum in Canada dedicated to collecting works of art on paper, the gallery endeavours to represent a variety of techniques and practices from artists of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

What's on

Our exhibitions form the basis of our programming and outreach to thousands of visitors every year. Learn more about art at one of our engaging curator and artist talks or tours, participate in a symposium, or view our permanent art collection. We offer demonstrations, workshops, and school programs with artists, educators and other specialists.

Our exhibitions change regularly and admission is always free, though donations are graciously accepted.

Parking

  • The Burnaby Art Gallery has limited parking. Visitors are encouraged to walk, roll, bike, carpool or use public transit when possible.
  • Two electric vehicle spaces are available on Deer Lake Avenue.
  • Deer Lake Avenue also has some street parking. After business hours, there may be additional free parking areas at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and the Burnaby Village Museum.

Accessibility

  • There are two designated parking stalls provided in the surface parking next to the gallery entrance.
  • There is a paved path leading to a wheelchair lift that provides access to the main floor of the Burnaby Art Gallery. The lift is located to the left of the front entrance. The second level is not wheelchair accessible. 
  • There is a wheelchair accessible washroom located on the main floor.
