Fresh air and fitness–for free

Bring a friend for an active and social workout in Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park's outdoor fitness circuit. This dynamic 4-pod circuit features total-body fitness equipment for aerobic, muscular strength, core and balance/flexibility exercises. It's located along the walking path by the water between the panabode washroom (Byrne Road) and the pier picnic and viewing area (Tillicum Street). This outdoor fitness circuit is free and available dawn to dusk. Visitor information and hours

Please note: The outdoor circuit equipment at Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park is intended for exercise only and recommended for use by persons 13 years of age and up. Please don’t let your children play on the equipment.

The Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park outdoor fitness circuit was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Rotary Club of Burnaby, the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown and the Rotary Club of Burnaby Deer Lake.

Parking

There are two designated parking stalls located in the surface parking area accessed off Fraser Park Drive at the foot of Byrne Road. Additional parking is available along the street.

Entry/Access

The Fraser River shoreline trail is accessible. There are two paved asphalt trails. The historical 1.5 metre asphalt trail travels east from the Byrne Road parking lot to Tillicum Street. A more recent four meter wide dual use asphalt trail travels from Tillicum Street west to Glenlyon Parkway, to connect with the Glenlyon urban trail. There is street parking at each end of the trail. Seating areas and picnic tables are located along the route.

Adjacent to the east parking area is an accessible play structure.

Accessible covered picnic tables are located in the shaded woodland to the west of Byrne Road, and several accessible tables are located adjacent to the playground.

Washrooms

An accessible washroom facility is located beside the playground.
