Council meets regularly to debate and decide on issues that concern you. These meetings also offer residents a chance to hear all the arguments and understand the reason behind council's decisions.

Meetings are held at Burnaby City Hall on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5 pm. Please check the calendar to confirm date and location details.

Bicycle Donations
City Council authorized staff to begin donating abandoned bicycles to local community charity groups. Prior to this authorization, abandoned bicycles were stored for 90 days before being sold through a third-party auction. As part of this program, City staff will produce an annual report outlining the number of bikes donated and the recipient organizations.

Significant Civic Projects Update
City Council received an information update regarding the status of seven ongoing civic projects: Rowan Avenue Child Care Centre, Mintara Burnaby Mountain Patio Expansion, James Cowan Theatre Replacement, Cameron Community Centre & Library, Burnaby Lake Recreation Complex, Community Safety Building and the Brentwood Community Centre.
