Edmonds Pool & Centre

The Edmonds Aquatic and Community Centre is a two storey approximately 85,000 square foot building with three key faces: Edmonds Street, Humphries Street and Richmond Park. The use of expressive shapes, bright, welcoming entrances and creative exterior details work toward generating awareness of the facility while ensuring the retail continuity and character of Edmonds Street.

At the ground level, “active” elements such as the active studio and indoor playground are visible to people walking by.

  • 6-lane swimming pool
  • Leisure pool with 2 warm lap lanes and a lazy river for floating and water walking with or against the current
  • Whirlpool
  • Sauna (currently closed)
  • Two full size gymnasiums that accommodates two basketball courts or three volleyball courts or eight badminton and pickle ball courts as well as table tennis
  • 7,000 sq. ft. weight and cardio room with state-of-the-art fitness equipment
  • 3,000 sq. ft. active studio with a sprung wood floor for programs such as dance, fitness, martial arts and yoga. It has a stage to host weddings and special events.
  • Indoor playground (currently closed)
  • Snooker room (currently closed)
  • There are numerous multi-purpose rooms and meeting rooms for art activities, crafts, games, and meetings
  • Seniors lounge (currently closed)
  • Youth lounge
  • Raincatchers cafe (currently closed)

Fred Randall Pool at Edmonds is a liquid chlorine system, but supplements this system with Ultra-Violet (UV) technology. These two systems working together provide clear, clean water. For more information, view our FAQ's.

Accessibility includes a ramp into the whirlpool and a ramp onto the stage. There is also a water elevator for people to easily access the swimming tank as well as an elevator from the underground parking up to the main and second floor.

There's plenty of underground parking, as well as parking on Humphries Avenue and to the west of the building. In addition, a bus shelter is located right outside the front door.
