The City of Burnaby’s GIS department has once again been recognized as an international leader in their field. After collecting a MISA Spirit of Innovation award in October, Burnaby GIS has been recognized by Public Sector Digest as co-leaders of their Geospatial Maturity Index with an impressive overall score of 96.67% (sharing first place with Halifax, NS).

The City of Burnaby has been recognized with Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) BC’s Spirit of Innovation award for successfully automating its BC 1 Call “Dial Before You Dig” process, providing faster, 24-hour service to customers while saving staff time and money.
