Edmonds Town Centre Cycling Network
As part of the City’s Priority Cycling Network that is envisioned in Burnaby’s Transportation Plan, Connecting Burnaby, the City is looking to improve the current cycling network in the Edmonds Town Centre area. - Completed
Greystone Walkway Lighting
The City installed pedestrian safety lights along the Burnaby Mountain Urban Trail running through Greystone Park to illuminate and improve lighting in these areas. - Completed
Vanson Walkway Lighting
The City installed pedestrian safety lights along Vanson Avenue to illuminate and improve lighting in these areas. - In progress
Customer Service Centre
We have introduced a customer service centre that will simplify, centralize and improve how residents, business owners and visitors access City information and services. - Completed
Fire Station #4
City of Burnaby has replaced the Fire Station 4 on Duthie Avenue with a new station in a new location, designed to meet the needs of our growing city. - In progress
Mountain Air Bike Skills Course Redevelopment
The City of Burnaby is redeveloping the Mountain Air Bike Skills Course to build upon the current popularity of the course and raise it to a first-class local destination for biking enthusiasts. - In progress
Civic Innovation Lab
The City of Burnaby and Simon Fraser University have come together to create a joint Civic Innovation Lab, combining their expertise and resources in order to find fresh solutions to challenges and issues affecting cities. - Completed
Confederation Park Outdoor Covered Sports Box
This project replaced the existing open-air lacrosse box at Confederation Park with a new, covered 200x85’ multi-sport court that us available for use year-round. - Planned
Kingsway + Edmonds Conceptual Master Plan
The City of Burnaby and BC Housing are working together on a Conceptual Master Plan for the publicly owned land at the southwest corner of Kingsway and Edmonds. - Planned
Lakefield Drive Active Transportation Improvement Project
The City is seeking public input on plans to implement a series of active transportation improvements along Lakefield Drive and 4th Street between Nursery Street and Wedgewood Street. - In progress
North Burnaby Traffic Calming Study
We’ve completed a comprehensive study of the Burnaby Heights/Capitol Hill neighbourhood to identify opportunities to improve travel safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. - In progress
Burnaby Lake Overpass
The City is building a pedestrian-cyclist overpass across Highway 1 to create a critical north-south link between key regional trail networks and destinations within Burnaby. - In progress
Hastings Street Improvement
TransLink and the City of Burnaby are partnering to study street improvements on Hastings Street between Boundary Road and Duthie Avenue. - In progress
Burnaby Food Systems Strategy
The Burnaby Food System Strategy is a strategic plan the City is developing to improve the quality, fairness, and sustainability of Burnaby’s food systems. - Completed
Housing Choices
Burnaby’s Housing Choices Program introduced new housing options into our city, which bridge the gap between single-family homes and apartments or condos. - In progress
BC Parkway Illumination
We’re adding accent lighting to the Burnaby section of BC Parkway to make the route more lively and inviting for everyone, whether you walk or roll, at any time of day. - Planned

We're planning to refresh the playground equipment at Forest Grove Park (west playground), Jim Lorimer Park, Lobley Park, Lochdale School Park, and Poplar Park. - In progress
Cameron Community Centre and Library
The City of Burnaby is replacing the Cameron Community Centre and Library with new facilities to better meet the needs of northeast Burnaby’s growing and changing population.
