Outdoor Recreation

For everyone's safety:

  • Outdoor programs will have reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing
  • Come dressed and prepared to be outdoors
  • Physical distancing will be enforced. Please maintain 2 metres or more between yourself and others at all times
  • Respect and follow directions of staff at all times
  • Expect enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols
  • First aid and rescue procedures have been modified to ensure the safety of participants and staff
  • If you appear to be sick, you will not be allowed to participate. Please stay home if you are sick

Our outdoor recreation programs are offered all year round! Breathe in the fresh air while you explore the beautiful outdoors through a variety of programs, including hiking, learning outdoor skills, and unique outdoor specialty workshops. Learn new skills, meet people and be active!

Summer Programs

Advance registration is required for each program. Burnaby residents have priority registration and can register in advance of non-residents for programs and activities which are in Webreg. No drop-ins.

Use the Webreg online registration system to reserve your time and make payment, or reserve by phone by calling 604-294-7222 Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.

Important Information for Registered Participants

Thank you for registering in one of our outdoor programs. Please review the General Informational Package and be sure to print and sign the appropriate waiver for all participants.

  • If you do not have access to a printer, your instructor will have extra waivers on hand for you to sign at the beginning of the program.
  • Please call the Outdoor Recreation Coordinator at 604-294-7224 for any further questions.
